1930's music? haha. Or am I reading it wrong Posted by Kieran on Aug 05, 2012 at 13:14 UK. You're not reading it wrong. Posted by Jamie Dyer on Aug 05, 2012 at 13:34 UK. I'm liking the sound of this! There is some fantastic music form the 1930s 40s and 50s and a suprisingly large amount of interest in it. I used to do a show of music form the 1930s to the 1960s on Ace before it shut down, initialy once a month, but due to demand I wound up doing it every week untill other demands on my time meant I had to put it on Hiatus for a while. I found that about two thirds of the audaince were profesional musicians of all kinds of genres (including at least 2 entire Goth bands who used to tune in and a bunch of musicians form rock acts as well). It's been playing up something cronic all day, presumably due to the thunderstorm that has been raging over head. Posted by DJ Ghost on Aug 05, 2012 at 16:56 UK. Great show and well worth a listen. Bit like Solid Gold Oldies but with a young dinosaur presenting it. Loved the mix of tunes. Posted by DJ Ceejay on Aug 05, 2012 at 22:30 UK. Cracking show, really enjoyed it. Hope to be able to catch the next one Any chance of some Louise Armstrong? Posted by DJ Ghost on Aug 06, 2012 at 21:39 UK. Add a reply...
